SharePoint 2007 - Logs also clearly

For nearly a year I am working now with the development around SharePoint. At first it was an incredibly steep learning curve with a lot of motivation dampers, but now I have an overview and it is fun to create applications that build on the SharePoint platform, or push them.

For daily routine includes working with the SharePoint log files, which sometimes describe an error that appears on the surface but more specific. The only thing that bothers me about the logs is the lack of overview. It is really müsahm to dig through the log and identify important messages at first glance. I have recently been made by my colleague (Thanks to this point) to a simple trick carefully:

• system log file with Excel

• filter enable
  

• log after desired filter information
